La première Agrocité à été iréalisée à Colombes en 2011. En 2015, la ferme avait 400 adhérents et employait un maraîcher à temps plein. Mais après les élections, la nouvelle équipe municipale a décidé de récupérer son terrain pour le transformer en parc de stationnement ! Une deuxième Agrocité en construction à Gennevilliers a bénéficié pour partie de la récupération d'éléments construits à Colombes et du savoir-faire accumulé tant par les architectes que par les habitants. En 2019, une troisième Agrocité est ouverte à Bagneux (banlieue sud de Paris). L'agrocité est donc un moyen pour les habitants de se saisir des enjeux écologiques dans le cadre de leur vie quotidienne et à partir d'une activité concrète et réalisable par eux mêmes. Que ce soient au travers de centres sociaux, de lieux de vie et de travail, l’occupation met en valeur le développement d’initiatives autogérés et autonomes, les réseaux de coopératives, et contribute aux autres luttes sociales. La présence des squats ne remet pas seulement en question l’injuste distribution des biens, elle donne naissance à des alternatives concrètes au capitalisme, en prolongeant les traditionnelles luttes autonomes et anticapitalistes au delà des luttes quotidiennes.</br></br>Les recherches académiques au sujet des squats sont de plus en plus courantes. Ce que l’on cherchera à débattre pendant ces rencontres est la relation entre l’occupation, le squat et les pratiques d’autonomie et d’autogestion, ainsi que le squat en tant que réponse à la crise et au capitalisme. Des analyses comparatives entre différentes villes ont été menées ces dernières années grace au travail d’un collectif, le Sqek (Squatting Europe Kollective). Le Sqek est groupe de recherche interdisciplinaire, un réseau d’investigation avec son propre agenda, comprenant plus de 100 membres basés en Europe de l’Ouest et en Amérique du Nord. This work received funding from IPinCH (https://www.sfu.ca/ipinch/) and WIPO (http://www.wipo.int/tk/en/) and was part of the original NEH grant funding to develop Mukurtru CMS (http://mukurtu.org/) for Indigenous digital content management.</br>Ongoing collaboration with our partner communities showed that the immediate concern was around negotiating and managing cultural heritage material where Indigenous individuals or communities did not hold the copyright. Instead third parties like researchers and institutions were the legal rights holders. With this focus, we developed a set of TK Labels. The Labels are an educative and non-legal intervention addressing the enormous amounts of Indigenous cultural heritage material that circulates without Indigenous perspectives or protocols regarding fair and equitable circulation and use.
