This initiative was started by the Mairie de Paris, and is localized in all 20 districts in Paris. The initiative was started to increase the biodiversity in Paris while allowing individual residents to become actors of this process. The document specifies that residents must acquire authorization to grow plants in public spaces. In addition, the list of species of plants that are accepted by the government are specified in this document.
